Emily Jackson

Emily_Mexico_Thanksgiving_0Hey Everyone! I hope 2010 has been treating you all well so far! I have been enjoying 2010 mostly from Uganda and its been a ride so far! I have been doing more aid work everyday then I think I have ever done in my life, whether its painting, follow ups, net sales, family planning or helping write a children’s coloring book on how you get malaria, its all been a blast! Kayaking has been brief but so much fun. Jessie is working me hard and making sure I get my small doses of kayaking in between. We haven’t paddled as much as I would like but working in the field has been amazing and life changing. Every time im here I feel so peaceful that its hard to leave! Kayaking has been incredible at times, and Silverback was quite the wake up call! So big and so exciting! Big thanks to everyone who supports me so I can continue to help support others! Without out you I couldn’t be here today! Happy Paddling and I hope the water is still paddle-able wherever you may be! Emily

Freestyle Expression Session

Now over the past year I have been appointed as the Chairman of the Australian Freestyle Committee which has it’s bonuses. I have been very fortunate to run an event I have been thinking about for a very long time.

Freestyle Expression Session
Here is the run down.
You go boating in the morning and everyone throws down as good as they can having an awesome time in the feature. At the end everyone throws the name, or in our case bib number in a hat of the person they think threw down better than they have before. Tally up the votes and there you have it. A totally unbiased competition with no judges.
I am sure the Freestyle Expression Session will be run all over the world as it does not matter how good or bad the paddler.
