Snap Dragon Revisited

With Memorial Day upon us, we’ve uncovered some old images of the Snap Dragon Hole and Rodeo Hole on the Wenatchee River (Washington). The Snap Dragon Hole, our namesake was the perfect wave for hosting many rodeos. The images we have are thanks to Rob Lesser who was photographing the ‘83 and ‘85 Wenatchee Rodeos.

Regreatably a flood in 1992 wiped out the hole but the memories live on. Read the rest of this entry »

Ben Stookesberry in the Columbia River Gorge

Kayakings first natural 20 meter megaramp! Summit Creek, Washington is the venue for one of kayaking most noteworthy drops. First found by up and comers Todd and Chris Wells, they soon spilled the beans to Cody Howard who in turn thought it was the coolest drop he had ever seen. However no one was sure how 50 to 60 feet of freefall transitioning to a nearly flat rock slab would feel on the body. Read the rest of this entry »
